National Bank of Sudan is a private bank located in Khartoum state which is capital of the Sudan. The bank was formed in 1983, It is acquisition by Bank Audi s.a.l. Audi Saradar Group, and the current General Manager: Charbel T. Moubarak.
On Sunday, the third of May of the year 1983 was born, and the emergence of the National Bank of Sudan as a commercial bank to stand tall next to the commercial banks operating in Sudan, The National Bank of the Sudan since its inception in 1983 until 2006 the share capital followed by some Sudanese shareholders.
On Monday 4 July 2006, the Lebanon's Bank Audi acquired 75% of the value of the stock and signed the agreement between National Bank of Sudan and Lebanon's Bank Audi at the Friendship Hall to enter a partnership under which Bank Audi, a strategic partner of the National Bank rate 75% of the Bank shares, raising capital to the National Bank 72 million U.S. dollars, signed on behalf of the National Bank – Mr. Hassan Ibrahim Malik, chairman of the Bank and the on other hand Mr. Raymond Audi, chairman of the bank Audi.
After the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the Sudanese Government and the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Sudan after 25 years of civil war in southern Sudan have been issued the Central Bank of Sudan Act (Amendment) Act 2006, select the nature of the banking system and the bank and its branches so that the Bank is the banking system and the Sudanese dual banking system Islamic one in the north of Sudan and the other traditional in southern Sudan.

It is expected to change the name of the bank to become the new name Audi Al-Ahli Bank instead of the National Bank of Sudan to enter the group name and in the near future.
